Red Hook I (East) Houses is the largest part of the largest development in Brooklyn. It has 27 buildings, 2 and 6-stories high with 2,528 apartments housing some 5,654 residents. The 33.34-acre complex, completed November 20, 1939, is bordered by Dwight, Clinton, West 9th and Lorraine Streets. Red Hook II (West) Houses has three buildings, 3 and 14-stories tall with 345 apartments housing some 864 residents. Completed May 31, 1955, the 5.63-acre site is bordered by Red Hook Park, Richards, Dwight and Wolcott Streets.
